Ercol 176 Replacement Cushions

The Ercol 176 is an unusually rare model. It was the very first Windsor Chair designed & produced by Ercol. It has coiled springs, not webbing, supporting the seat cushion. The original seat cushion itself was pocket sprung. We could do pocket sprung cushions but at much greater cost. For the student of Ercol, the 176 is similar in shape to the 305, the 305 though having a solid elm base. You will see the pictures comparing the two models. We got help in identification from our renowned tutor, Mr Stevenson from Inverness, one of our many very good customers.
