The stockinette shown in the picture below is free, and is there to make for the easier fitting on of a cover. (It slides on more easily.)The egg box profile gives that extra comfort. However the foam used for this cushion is not the same as our overlay mattresses. This foam is designed for sitting on, for long periods if necessary.
